MGI Research LogoRATING UPDATE: We are upgrading the MGI360 Rating of Billing Platform from 54 to 56 and maintain POSITIVE outlook.
OPINION: The rating update reflects a new CEO (Dennis Wall), an $18 Million funding commitment from Columbia Capital, pick up in strategy and marketing execution, significantly increased brand visibility and a number of competitive wins and production roll outs. Channel score is nearly flat as the partner ecosystem and direct sales are going through a build-out. The finance score reflects the new funding but also the increased sales and marketing investment. USE CASE: Billing Platform solutions have a particular sweet spot in monetizing complex hybrid (physical and digital) assets such as in ports, logistics, transport and energy among others across a spectrum of company sizes and geographies.
COMPANY DESCRIPTION: Billing Platform is an extensible and highly configurable platform for agile monetization. Customers are able to rapidly create highly targeted monetization implementations in an agile fashion. Company technology addresses many of the pillar disciplines of Agile Monetization Platforms. BP has its roots in telecom billing management and is managed by its original founding team of highly skilled software engineers. The firm is technology focused and leverages systems integrators for part of its channel effort. In 2017 the company secured a funding commitment for $18 million from Columbia Capital. The business operates at break-even.
