State of Mobile Apps 2013 Study Launched

State of Mobile Apps 2013Today, MGI Research is launching the State of Mobile Apps 2013 industry study. Across all industries, companies of all sizes are deploying mobile apps to capture new customers, open new markets and create new revenue opportunities. Last year, the 2012 State of Mobile Apps study captured unique data points related to how enterprises plan, budget, develop, and deploy mobile apps. The results identified important gaps separating best in class companies versus the average. The 2013 study updates key metrics and expands the scope to cover mobile security, device and apps management. We are inviting clients and all those interested in mobile apps to participate in this survey on critical topics in mobility. Completing the survey provides participants with a chance to win one of three iPad Mini tablets.

2013 has already seen a significant increase in resources allocated to mobile initiatives. However, the pace of change is so rapid that money and talent are a necessary but an insufficient - condition for success. Visibility, stakes and risks are all higher. In this context, accurate, unbiased information on how to fine tune a mobile strategy becomes paramount.  By participating in this survey, you and your organization can see how your strategy, practices, success, vendors, and metrics compare with peers.

The State of Mobile Apps 2013 aims to identify new trends and unique approaches to ensure successful mobile initiatives that deliver the high profile momentum that so many business leaders have come to expect.

All survey respondents will receive an Executive Summary of the State of Mobile Apps 2013 results. Additionally, every completed survey will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win an iPad Mini. To participate in the study please, CLICK HERE.

The study targets the following key areas of Mobility:

  • Budgets – How to properly plan for and optimize a budget for a successful mobile effort?
  • Business Priorities - Are business priorities changing – if so, how?
  • Mobile Platforms - How are the relative priorities of mobile platforms evolving?
  • Mobile Technology Vendors - Which mobile vendors are a top priority for enterprises? Which are lagging in user adoption?
  • Application Portfolio Metrics – How do companies focus their development funds based on industry, size, and geography?
  • Strategies – Is your company in-line, ahead-of or behind competition in mobile? Are you falling behind in adoption of standards and technology tools?
  • Best Practices – How are “best in class” companies organized to meet the mobile Time-to-Market requirements?
  • App Priorities – How are organizations prioritizing their mobile efforts for the next 12 months?
  • Track Record of Success – What separates the leading mobile app adopters from the average?

All responses are confidential, and will only be reported in the aggregate. To take part in the survey, simply click here.
