We are initiating coverage of Airwatch with a 70 out of 100 rating and a POSITIVE outlook. 

Opinion: With over $100 Million in revenue (MGI est.) Airwatch is the largest independent supplier in the market for Mobile Management Tools with solutions for Device, App and Content Management. The company is aiming to rapidly build its market share through a build-and-acquire approach and aggressive pricing. While basic mobile device management is being commoditized rapidly, the company hopes to build to a critical mass and drive revenue in Apps and Content Management in large enterprise accounts. The company focus is on Cloud, but largest deployments to-date are on-premise. The company has an R&D organization of 500+ people. Field data reflects generally positive customer reviews of product and service with some gaps that are typically quickly addressed by Airwatch support.

We are initiating coverage of MobileIron with a 70 out of 100 rating and a POSITIVE outlook. 

Opinion: The company, led by the original team of founders and executives, has created a robust platform for securing and managing corporate mobile environments and is ramping up its worldwide network of resellers and partners. Customer feedback is generally positive as company has managed through some mixed support issues in recent history. There is field evidence that MobileIron strategy of building out seats and add-on capability is getting traction. MobileIron offerings fit best into cases where customers need granular, on-premise control of mobile device security and applications with some amount of customization. We believe the company has addressed lingering concerns about high end scalability.

OpinionFirehost is aiming to carve out a niche within the broader public cloud by focusing on customers that require highly secure and compliant cloud environments with concentration in healthcare (HIPAA), payment cloud (PCI) and EU privacy. The company is transitioning from smaller early adopters to mid and larger sized enterprise accounts while fine tuning its business plan to scale up and close the gap between depth of its product offering on the one hand and the need to build management, channels, marketing and financial depth on the other. Customer feedback is very positive. Firehost is a viable choice for users seeking compliant clouds and a provider willing to go beyond standard terms of service.
